ECONOMICS AND FINANCE

ABOUT ECONOMICS

& FINANCE

The division of Economics and Finance encompasses two very versatile majors offered by Deakin University’s Bachelor of Commerce award. Economics focuses on the societal structure and its utilisation of resources and the surrounding environments, whereas Finance concentrates further into monetary resources and the dynamic relationships that form from money banking and credit. Both Finance and Economics play vital roles in financial growth, wealth and public policy, and a career in either of these industries is highly coveted.
